1. All applications should be submitted six weeks prior to the convention. The applications will be mailed to the registrar.
2. Assistance will be granted for the amount of the fees for the event only ($45).
3. Assistance may be awarded for less than the full event fee.
4. Assistance is awarded on a need basis only to qualified and active members.
5. To qualify an applicant must be an active member of an ELCA congregation.
6. Delegates will be given preference over participants.
7. No individual may receive assistance in consecutive years unless funds are available.
8. Balance must be maintained in the selection of winners – that is geographical, age, primary language other an English, ethnic background, mother-daughter teams, women not currently involved with Women of the ELCA, differently-abled and previous Women of the ELCA participation.
9. No immediate family members (mother, mother-in-law, daughters, daughter-in-law, sisters, sister-in-law, grandmothers) of board members or officers may receive assistance.
10. EXEMPTION CLAUSE: If excess funds are available, a qualified family member becomes eligible for consideration.
